Maynard Burn 12/27/09

A quiet, strenuous, snowy summit up Maynard Burn offers exceptional views of the Olympics. 3400' elev. gain in 3 miles. The weather couldn't get any better. There was a slight breeze and lots of sun. Even though the plan was to summit Mt Baldy which I believe is 6797' we settled for the peak just short of that.(short days) So highlights of the trip were slipping on ice, Kyle's rasberry jelly knuckles, Tim delayering to his boxers, and glissading.

My name is Josh Warren. I love Washington and its beauty of the Olympics. I have a couple friends that like hiking as much as I do so we try to make an adventure out of every weekend. Since I moved back from California, I realized that being poor and jobless isn't so bad if you like just hiking around outside.
